Minnesota Vikings vs. Miami Dolphins Live Blog: Play-By-Play and Analysis

The phrase live blogging seems like a poor euphemism for....well, many things I guess.
"Whatcha doing, buddy?"
"Oh, I'm live blogging."
"You're disgusting."
But here we are, live blogging our little hearts out for the week 2 Minnesota Vikings game as they play host to the Miami Dolphins.
Will the Dolphins be able to run? Will Brandon Marshall wreck untold havoc on the Vikings secondary? Will Jared Allen show up? Will Adrian Peterson get the #&$@^ ball more this week? Will Brad Childress look like a highway patrol officer?
My predictions: somewhat, yes, no, hopefully, and of course Brad Childress will look like a highway patrol officer. Of course.
They need practice together.
The sort-of thing you'd get in training camp, ya know?
The defense has been fine so far, they've made the stops and played good enough to win both games. The offense...is another story. Favre is off, with 4 interceptions and one fumble already this season. Harvin is inconsistent. The line is inconsistent, at best. AP is AP, which is nice. But they only have 19 points in two games. 19.
Vikings 0-2. Green Bay's going to be 2-0. Chicago will probably be 2-0 the way it's looking.
Childress is going to be rethinking not taking those two field goals.
Favre's pass behind Shiancoe, who was nowhere near open. Turnover.
Dolphins get pressure, Favre has to rush the throw, incomplete. 4th down. 38 seconds.
Shotgun, Favre sails one. 3rd and 7. 42 seconds. Ball at the Miami 28.
Favre fakes spike, hits Berrian for three yards and he gets out of bounds. 2nd and 7. 48 seconds.
Favre hits AP, ball at Miami 31. 56 seconds to go.
Favre hits Lewis for 15 yards, ball at Miami 41.
Favre scrambles to the right, throws high and to the right, Greg Lewis stretches and almost keeps it. But doesn't. 3rd down.
Shotgun, low pass, Shiancoe can't reel it in despite it hitting him in the chest.
Vikings get the ball at their own 45, best field position of the day. One timeout. 1:42 to go. Favre.
Kevin Williams bats down the pass, Vikings get to save a timeout. 1:51 to go.
Ronnie Brown gets some good yards, leaves Miami with a 3rd and 3. Vikes timeout, one left. 1:54 to go.
Nobody has seen this Greenway holding penalty, still.
Erin Henderson just got a knee to the face with no helmet and made the tackle. 2nd and 9 at the 7, two minute warning.
Ray Edwards almost gets Henne in the end zone, Henne scrambles out of the end zone and gets tackled at the two. Then the yellow comes out and Greenway gets a five-yard holding penalty, automatic first down. Awful.
Fullback dive, one yard. Vikings timeout. 2:13 to go.
They had to run there, had to keep riding AP. Maybe not the best run play, but the right idea. Defense needs to make a play...again.
Handoff to Peterson, stuffed. Hit at the two, turns and stopped. Poor blocking on that one. Dolphins ball 2:15 to go. Vikes have all their timeouts.
AP run up the middle. Gets stood up at the two. Drags the pile to the one. Stopped. Have to go for it. Have to give it to AP. Vikes going for it.
AP stopped at the line. 3rd and goal. 3:25 to go. Four-yard line. What does Bevell call?
AP slipped. He slipped and fell and was on the ground. Then he got up and darted to the four. The blocking has gotten better as the game's gone on and AP's taking advantage.
AP dances and jumps and leaps for six yards. First and goal at the ten.
