Dutch legend and former Arsenal, Barcelona and Ajax winger, Marc Overmars is set for a sensational comeback at 35.

He will go ahead and come out of retirement and join "Go Ahead Eagles," his childhood team that plays in the Dutch second division.

Rumors

According to reports in England, should Chelsea secure the signing of Robinho, then Aston Villa will approach The Blues to sign Joe Cole.

Martin O'neill is said to be very interested in securing the services of Cole.

Moving to Turin, Juventus have been dealt with a blow as Marco Marchionni and Cristiano Zanetti have been ruled out of the start of the season.

Juve are rumored to be keen on Lazio's Cristian Ledesma as they hope to challenge for the Series A this season.

While a man who is not so optimistic about Juve's chances is Mauro Camoranesi who believes it will take 10 years for Juventus to return to their top, as they were during Fabio Capello's reign as Juve manager.

In Rome, Lazio among other Italian clubs, are fighting for the signature of ex-Gunner and current West Ham star Freddie Ljungberg.

The Swedish player recently stated that, unlike some reports sugggested, he is not thinking of retiring from football.

Ljungberg's club, on the other hand, West Ham is among several English teams interested in landing Ghana captain Stephen Appiah.

Italy's football bid at the Olympics has taken a huge blow after Lazio ace Tommasso Rocchi was ruled out of the tournament because of injury.
