Big 12 Football: Tuesday Morning One-Liners

The Dallas Morning News lists Baylor as the sixth best Football Bowl Subdivision school in the state of Texas.

What we initially saw with Tim Tebow, we very recently saw with Christian Ponder…and now we see it again with Colorado quarterback Tyler Hansen.

Nebraska led the nation in opponents’ passing efficiency last year. If Washington quarterback Jake Locker has a better passing efficiency than normal this weekend, then the Cornhuskers should be worried. (Locker’s career completion percentage is below 54.0%)

The Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week award went to Oklahoma’s Landry Jones for his stellar performance against Florida State this past weekend.

 

Despite the team victory, Oklahoma State quarterback Brandon Weeden felt bad for putting his team in some pretty bad positions, turning the ball over four times.

In six trips to Lubbock, Texas, Longhorns head coach Mack Brown has won as many games as he has lost against the Red Raiders of Texas Tech.

Texas A&M quarterback Jerrod Johnson just keeps piling up awards for his performances.

For his special teams performance against New Mexico, Texas Tech’s Eric Stephens was named a Big 12 Player of the Week.
