Life After Brett Favre Will Be Just Fine
Green Bay Will Be OK - Bob McCaffery
Now I know that many of you probably are getting tired of the Brett Favre/Green Bay Packers soap opera. I am too, but as Packer fans, we should be feeling good right about now.
I mean, yeah Brett Favre isn't our quarterback anymore, but we still have most of the team that made it to the NFC Championship last season!

I know that a lot of fans are upset with Brett Favre being traded to the New York Jets, and don't want to give Aaron Rodgers a chance. But check this out; last year the defense was one of the real reasons for the Packers success.
Yes, I remember Favre's bomb to Jennings in overtime in Denver, but the only reason that the Packers stayed close in the game is because of the defense.
As for Aaron Rodgers, he is in the same boat as Steve Young was in when he took the helm from Joe Montana in San Francisco. Both Young and Rodgers took over very good teams.
Also, they both had to fill the shoes of a legendary quarterback (arguably the two greatest in NFL history). I think that without Favre, the Packers are still a Super Bowl contender. Defense wins championships!
So, now that Ryan Grant is back, and the defense basically the same, and some promising rookies (Jordy Nelson will be a good one I think) that will add more fuel to the already raging fire of talent this team has, the NFC North crown will stay in Green Bay.
Finally, I think once the Packers start winning, the fans will get off of Rodgers' back, and settle in and enjoy the ride. Because remember what everyone said back in 1992 about The Majik Man's back-up, and look how he turned out.
