The Gainesville Sun is reporting that Florida Gator wide receiver Chris Rainey was arrested early Tuesday for aggravated stalking.

Reports are that Rainey and the woman he has been dating on and off for the past three years, called the police Tuesday morning after Rainey sent her text message stating “Time to die” after the woman asked him to leave a few minutes earlier.

When the woman told Rainey she called the police, his response was, "Wait and see what happens when they leave."

Rainey was arrested at his apartment and was later booked into the Alachua County jail.

Rainey is a redshirt junior starter who sat out the second half of Florida’s game against South Florida because of a possible concussion.
