After not making the playoffs for the last 4 years the Grizzlies are hungry for a playoff birth, the future is promising with Rudy Gay, O.J. Mayo, and Zach Randolph on the team. Last year was a success going 40-42 after losing 178 games the past 3 seasons.

After a solid performance in the World Championship games, Rudy Gay is looking for an all-star season for the Grizzlies. He will be the man in charge after signing a 5 year 82 million dollar deal. Rudy Gay has not had the break out season he would like but this year should be the year.

With three possible All-Stars on this years team ( Rudy Gay, O.J. Mayo, and Zach Randolph). The Grizzlies look like a very solid pick to finish in the top 8 in the west. Mike Conley and Marc Gasol will round out the starting line up for the Grizzlies. Conley, and Gasol are entering their 3rd season as the starters for the Grizzlies and everybody is expecting a more discipline season for Conley or he could face being benched or traded. Marc Gasol is a very dependable big man, and will be heavily involved for the Grizzlies.

Terms have still not been reached with 1st round pick Xavier Henry. Henry is looking for a rookie max deal but the two sides have not established an agreement yet. Grevis Vasquez will play a reserved role for the Grizzlies but could see time with his shooting ability.

Bench production has been an issue in the past, the Grizzlies have not have a very dependable bench, but with the additions of Tony Allen, and Acie Law the bench should be better. Sam Young has really improved his game and will see some time at the SF position when Rudy Gay is out. Darrell Arthur is will be healthy this year, and Hasheem Thabeet and Hamad Haddadi will be fighting for role to be Gasol's backup. Demarre Carrol will serve as a glorified role player but everybody should see significant time for the Grizzlies.
