A look back at: Victor green

Does anyone remember victor green?

I grew up a NY jets fan and one of my favorite players was victor green safety for the NY Jets, green was a 5’11 210 pound tackling machine and a hard hitter at that. through all the bad Jet teams that I grew up with in the 90’s, one thing was for sure victor green was going to show up to play. Green averaged around mid 60’s – over 100 tackles a year, most of them were solo due to greens skill of always finding the ball carrier. Every time I saw green on a running play, it always seemed that he was the first one to the ball. green also increased his interceptions total each year from 1995-2000. Green was a hard working safety who played hard and made key plays. He finished his career with 684 tackles and 25 interceptions. In a day were NFL players take plays off and don’t really refine there craft, green did. Green was and always will be a New York Jet.
