Cowboys vs. Redskins: The Yellow Flags Are Flying Early

J Howard GiddingsContributor ISeptember 13, 2010

It's nearly halftime at FedEx Field, and the Redskins got things moving after looking out of sync earlier.  One thing is for sure - the refs are in mid-season form.  Okay, I admit I only think that because the last two penalties were called on Dallas.  I get the feeling the Cowboys are close to forcing a turnover.  Fortunately, McNabb is wise enough to throw the ball away when Dallas penetrates the Skins' backfield, which they're doing a little too easily for my taste.

The Redskins just punted, and voila, Dallas got the ball on the 1 yard line.  Up 'till now the Cowboys have been winning the field position battle. Nonetheless, the Redskins' defense has stiffened up in the red zone.  The Dallas field goal kicker stiffened up too.  Sweet.

One other quick note - the announcers just mentioned that LaBron James, who is a Cowboys' fan, came to the Redskins to get tickets for tonight's game.  Whatever.

Dallas now has a first down on their 21.  They're moving the ball systematically again, after having had a poor drive previously.
