Auburn Tigers Football: ESPN's College Gameday Visiting For Auburn-Clemson
"College GameDay" won't have to move the set very far.
A week after the show aired from Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, for the Penn State-Alabama game, the crew will be in Auburn this coming weekend, where the currently No. 16-ranked Auburn Tigers host their ACC counterparts, the Clemson Tigers (who are currently unranked as of this morning).
The last time GameDay visited Auburn, Auburn lost to LSU in a top-10 matchup, 26-21.
All-time, Auburn has hosted GameDay five times (not including this weekend) with a 3-2 record. Auburn won games in 2006 (against Florida), 2004 (against Georgia), and 1995 (against Alabama). Auburn has lost in 2008 (to LSU) and in 1997 (to Florida).
All in all, Auburn has played in 11 games that were featured by ESPN's ultra-successful college football preview show, the last being that ugly 14-13 loss to Vanderbilt in Nashville in 2008, a season that was a disaster but is now firmly in the dust.
The Clemson game will be GameDay game No. 12 for the Auburn Tigers football program.
The show runs from 8 A.M. to 9 A.M on ESPNU and from 9 A.M to 11 A.M on ESPN (all times central). Of course, if you're there in person, why would you care what channel it's on?
Auburn kicks off against Clemson at 6:00 P.M Saturday night, and the game is televised by ESPN and ESPN 3-D.
One thing is for sure: Lee Corso will definitely pick the Tigers to win.
