He may be the best catcher in MLB today, Any pitcher would choose Varitek because of his ability to call a game. But there has been one flaw this year his bat, Usually Jason Varitek can hold at least a .280 average, at least, But this year it has been a downhill adventure for him. He has not been able to even keep his average in the 200's and his average, average this year is .180, Is this just a way to show that Tek is losing his stuff and getting to old for his position, Or is it that he is just having a bad slump that has lasted all year. Whatever it is he needs to step up his game because the Sox want to win and they need there whole team hitting and playing there best, and with guys like Tek and Ellsbury, That are in a slump it isn't going to help them at all, So is Jason getting old or is this just a bad year for him whatever it is he is still the best catcher in baseball right now. Well the best catcher at calling a game anyways.
