Buffalo Sabres "Buffaslug" Logo Might Be Getting the Salt

The end may be here for what could generously be described as one of the worst team logos in the history of the National Hockey League.

Icethetics has leaked what they claim are the Sabres' road and alternate sweaters for the upcoming 2010-2011 season.  Absent from both jerseys is the "Buffaslug" design that haunted Sabres fans for the past four seasons.  If this is in fact Buffalo's third jersey, let me be among the first to say kudos on that design.  The official unveiling of the team's 2010-11 uniforms is still more than a week away.

The Sabres won their only President's Trophy the last time they changed primary logos (from the white, silver, black and red Buffalo head to "Buffaslug" in 2006-07).  They earned a point in their first 12 games that year while winning their first 10.
