50 Stars and Celebrities Spotted at The 2010 US Open

The US Open has been the place to be in 2010.  Even with Andy Roddick losing in the second round and Serena Williams unable to play, celebrities from all walks of pop culture have shown up to watch the best tennis players on the planet compete in the final grand slam of the season.

Despite other American Disappointments along the way, the stars still made their way to Flushing Meadows to watch the best tennis players in the World.

Wayne Gretzky enjoyed watching Tennis' version of the great one Roger Federer get back on track to make his 24th Semifinal in the last 26 grand slams he has entered. Amazingly, his first semi since the Australian Open to begin the Grand Slam season.

After a walk off Home Run by Nick Swisher saved the Yankees from an embarrassing sweep by the Orioles, Joba Chamberlin enjoyed watching Roger Federer atone for his French Open Quarterfinal loss to Robin Soderling earlier this year.  Chamberlin sat with Wayne Gretzky in a suite.

Roger Federer attracted stars from a cross section of sports in his Quarterfinal victory over Robin Soderling.  New York's newest sports star, Thierry Henry of the Red Bulls attended Federer's win.

I wonder if Mirka received some fashion tips while watching her hubby express to a win over Robin Soderling in straight sets.

...after her husband jumped on his latest bandwagon.  Trump called to request a seat in Wozniacki's box.  When asked about it, Caroline Wozniacki related that the Donald called to see if there were any seats in her box.  She said she always has room for the mogul.

Is Chris Evert becoming a cougar?  Evert's first husband was former ATP Pro John Lloyd.  Her second husband Andy Mill (and the father of her children) Andy Mill was an Olympic skier and she is recently divorced from third husband, golfing great Greg Norman.

Lysacek won the Gold Medal at this year's Olympics in Vancouver.  He has been linked to Olympic Gymnast Shawn Johnson.  

Now these two are spotted together at the US Open? This is how rumors get started.

Lysacek is only 25 and Evert 55.  She is old enough to be his mother.

It looks like the figure skating Gold Medalist has an eye for the cougars.  What happened to Shawn Johnson? He was spotted with Brinkley and Chris Evert at the open.

Brooklyn Decker is without a doubt one of the best looking wives on the ATP.  Unfortunately that hasn't translated into success for the Sports Illustrated model's husband Andy Roddick.  Tennis' A-Rod hasn't made it past the quarterfinals in New York since 2006.  He was the last American male to win a Grand Slam when he won at Flushing Meadow in 2003.

A night after Mrs. Ari told him he needed a break, Jeremy Piven was able to drown Ari's sorrows at the US Open by seeing Rafa make history.  Piven took into the US Open with That 70's Show's (and Handy Manny for the toddler set) Wilmer Valdarama.

Nadal became only the seventh male to win all four majors during his career.  He also became the first male in 41 years to hold three grand slams in a row in the same calendar year.

I would definitely love to know what Batali thought the best eats were at the National Tennis Center.  He seems to be a big tennis fan.  He participated in a charity cooking event with Andy Roddick and Al Roker as far back as 2006.

Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova is considering by most to be the greatest rivalry in the history of women's sports.  They and Billie Jean King are what put women's tennis and arguably women's sports in a place to be taken seriously.  Fittingly, the USTA honored them before the women's final.

Spike Lee is one of the biggest sports celebrity sports fans there is.  The sideline fixture and New York Knicks's number one fan was spotted last week at the FIBA World Basketball Championships.  He obviously is showing his Yankee allegiance as he takes in the Open.
