Not Long Left Til The Premier League Is Under Way

Karl CollierCorrespondent IAugust 8, 2008

With only 9 days left until the Premier League starts, I can only sit back and smile. I've been waiting what feels a life time for this to draw closer an it finally has. Its been a long wait and one which I hope will be worth it.

We go into the new season defending the Premier League and Champions League double, which was such a hard thing to win last season. I have every faith in the manager and his players but it was a long and hard season. With no real new faces coming in, Fergie believes he has the strength and depth to do it all again. I know we have Fabio and Rafael Da Silva, Rodrigo Possebon, Frazier Campbell, Gibson and Martin, all of which have played well pre-season, but none, I feel, will be first team regulars. We have Gary Neville back from injury, along with Mikel Silvestre which is cover for Evra and Brown.

The Ronaldo merry-go-round has finally come to a stop with Cris himself saying he'll be staying with us for the coming season but I expect another Ronaldo-drama come the end of the season. We've given him everything at the club and I really dont see why he would want to leave, after all, we are English and Europe Champions.. sounds good doesnt it?!
