Fantasy Baseball Week 24 Start/Sit

With the Fantasy Baseball playoffs a mere two weeks away, owners around the country are looking for reliable options at every position. Has anyone been hitting well lately? What pitchers can be counted on this late in the year?


Starting Pitcher to Start:

The NL West has been a fiasco as of late. The Padres are reeling, Manny Ramirez is finally gone, and now a youngster by the name of Jhoulys Chacin is making a name for himself in Colorado. Before his latest start, Chacin had won two in a row, giving up only one earned run in his previous three starts. For the season, he is 7-9 with a 3.69 ERA and 112 Ks in 107.1 IP. There is a question as to whether or not Chacin will be in the rotation for much longer (he is currently filling in for the injured Jeff Francis); however, as long as he’s pitching effectively, I would bet against the Rockies taking him out of the rotation. With the fantasy playoffs just around the corner, it may be a good idea to begin filling your roster with some reliable youngsters. Chacin is one of those youngsters...
