Loss of Cornelius Ingram a Major Blow for Gators

Clayton CoffmanAnalyst IAugust 8, 2008

The loss of Cornelius Ingram is a tough pill to swallow for a lot of Gator fans.  Ingram's background, as a kid from a little old town in Hawthorne, Florida, is very reminiscent of Tim Tebow's.

Ingram is a class act and a very good football player.  Gator fans know the quality of player Urban Meyer had on the field with Ingram, but even more people knew the quality of the inner persona of Ingram.

This is a tough blow for CI, especially since he decided to return for his senior season to improve his draft stock.  But with the way this kid was raised, he knows it's all a part of the plan.
