Ok so my last article on predictions for the new season were not entirely true , I upset some Newcastle United and Bolton Wanderers Fans by suggesting they would be relegated and Liverpool fans by suggesting they wont be in the top four .

The main reason I wrote that article is because I'm bored of the same top four and same bottom three year in year out , I wanted to see a change , a shake up and well , I know that wont happen ,the other article's URL is:

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/37700-new-2008-2009-football-season-predictions-for-the-top-flight

Ok so let's get Cracking on my real predictions for the new 2008/2009 season , these are my real thought's and if anyone gets narked off by them , so what I cant please everyone, counter them with a prediction of your own .

Premier League Final Standings :

1. Manchester United ,

I really do believe Manchester United Will retain the crown again making it three in a row . After Ronaldo was confirmed to be staying then with the energetic youthful likes of Rooney , Tevez , Nani , Anderson , Carrick and Hargreaves mixed with the experience of Scholes , Giggs , New signing Petrucci and Van Der Sar United still look formidable .

2. Arsenal .

Yes I was telling the truth when I said United and Arsenal would be the top two .Like I said last year's injury to Eduardo spoilt the season , how do you go on with images like that etched in your skull ? , especially young Fabregas who was first on the scene , he was horrified , but this year I believe Cesc will be on Fire after winning Euro 2008 with Spain , he is a star in the making for sure . They will be a much stronger team this year .

3. Chelsea.

After defeat on both fronts to Man United last season Chelsea will be determined to make an Impact again , I can't see the Title going back to Stamford Bridge this year , Maybe next year . I feel it won't be a complete disaster for Chelsea , The Carling cup will move back across London and a Last 8 in Europe spot too ,weather they can go one better than last year remains to be seen .

4. Liverpool .

Yep you guessed it , the usual same old boring top four will be rounded off by Liverpool , they have bought Robbie Keane to partner Fernando Torres up front and a few other players who to be honest I've never heard of so I'll reserve my judgement on them until I see them in action , it will be the same old cries of " This is our year " , err when was the last time that was said ? I do feel Liverpool have a strong team but not one to challenge for the title just yet .

5. Tottenham .

Ok so I put spurs in the top four in my last article , that was somewhat optimistic , they have been getting rid of players like there is no tomorrow , they have signed a few decent players in Dos Santos , Mudric , Bentley and Gomez , but is that enough to break the top four ? Not this year no , fifth will still be some achievement though .

6. Portsmouth .

I did'nt give Harry Redknapp's men the credit they deserve on my last article either , they are turning into a major force , they are already in the charity shield , so they could start the season where they left last , winning silverware , With Jermaine Defoe and Peter Crouch up front they surely have a decent chance .

7. Manchester City.

I'm tipping old United legend Mark Hughes to do well in his first season at Eastlands , he has to , otherwise he could end up following Sven , missing out on Ronaldinho was no big surprise , City still are'nt ready for a mega star of his calibre just yet , but if they Get Roque Santa Cruz , expect a big fight from the blues .

8. Aston Villa.

If Gareth Barry leaves Aston Villa then i can see no where for them to go but down the table come may , Martin O'neill has done wonders but if he lets Barry go , I feel he will be undoing all that hard work in one transfer , his squad is built around Barry .

9. Everton.

Same predicament as Villa really , they dont have the funds available to mount a decent assault , especially if they sell Andrew Johnstone . But Moyes has been known to work wonders with next to nothing .

10. Blackburn Rovers.

After Hughes' departure from Ewood Park , where he had built a steady team ,I see them dropping a couple of places , Paul Ince is unproven in the EPL , and with the sale of prized asset David Bentley , I see them going nowhere fast until at least 2010.

11. Newcastle United.

Sorry Newcastle Fans , I was just Joking , dont expect higher than 11th though , With no real " big " signings as of yet , KK cant work wonders from nothing . Plus with Bad Boy Joey Barton still in the team will this cause tension between players ? Personally i dont think he should be in football after his behaviour , but thats KK's choice .

12. West Brom.

I think the Brom will do a good job , Tony Mowbray seems a man with his head screwed on , getting rid of Kevin Phillips could be a mistake but im backing my old school friend Ishmael Miller to do a great job back in the Top flight . 12th will be a stellar achievment .

13. Sunderland .

Keano's done some decent business , Teemu Tainio , Pascal Chimbonda and El Hadje Diouf are a decent start to the season for a club like Sunderland , They worked hard to stay up last year , I dont think they will need to worry this season about a relegation dogfight. .

14. Middlesboro.

Last seasons dirtiest team on statistics , same as they was two years ago . Gareth Southgate has done ok since taking over at the riverside , but again no major signings and Stewart Downing finally realising he can play for a lot bigger club and Mark Schwartzer already gone , I dont see Boro being able to make any kind of assault on the top half of the table .

15. West Ham United.

Poor old Alan Curbishley , he tries ever so hard , and you can see the passion in his eyes no matter who he manages , but the passion is'nt enough if you dont have the squad to go with it . I hope they can get some decent signings in before the window closes , they beat Man United last year , but beating one big team a season wont keep you out of a relegation battle .

16. Bolton .

Another team I said would be relegated in my last article , I feel my words were harsh , they are a Greater Manchester team and I should get behind them a bit more , they wont get relegated , but I feel another relegation dogfight for Gary Megson's men .Getting rid of Anelka last year and Diouf this year , plus Stelios being released , could be another turning point for the worse for the trotters.

17. Wigan Athletic.

I dont feel Wigan have it just right yet either , they need a big name and Fast , They avoided relegation barely last year and i feel the same is on the cards for Steve Bruce's boys this year too , I hope I'm wrong with Bruce being a United hero in my childhood days , i just cant see it.

18. Fulham.

Last years final day survivors could be doomed this year , they have bought Mark Schwartzer from Boro , but if you got a dodgy defence , then the best of keepers cant really help you out . We will have to wait and see but i hear the Championship calling Muhammed Al Fayed's Fulham already .

19. Hull City.

New boys doomed to failure , i put them in 17th in my last article , it was me being optimistic again .I dont see them having that cutting edge in the cold light of day , getting rid of Jay Jay Okocha with his experience in the premiership was a lethal mistake , him and Dean Windass together may of been a good set of Leaders in the premier league , but I feel they may as well make preparations for the championship next year already .

20. Stoke City.

Or soon to be known as Derby County in Red and White , I stated from the beginning that Stoke are decent , but only in the Championship , they are no where near steady Premiership material , they dont have the money , they dont have the squad either . I feel for Tony Pulis , he must know this year will be the Toughest of his career , lets hope he does'nt end up sacked five games into the season .

So There you have it , my real predictions , I'm waiting for the Liverpool fans and anyone else I may of ruffled feathers with to start slating these decisions as well .

Dare I ask ?  What do you think ? Am I right ? Are my Predictions Sound ? Or wrong ?

Coment and rate as usual .
