In light of Clinton Portis' recent comments regarding Mexican sportscaster Ines Sainz, yet another athlete is getting attention for something that has nothing to do with his sport.

The line between sports and entertainment is becoming more blurred by the second, and we, as sports consumers, are becoming more interested with the off-field behavior of professional athletes than their performance on the field.

Portis isn't the only athlete known for his off-field antics. Many other athletes have become household names for reasons other than their athletic ability.

Here is a list of the top ten sports stars that are better known for their "extrasport" activities.

10. Maria Sharapova

Maria Sharapova has demonstrated her tennis ability (by winning three Grand Slam titles in her career), but is that really what she's known for?

Sharapova has become a sort of media darling, from her sexy photo shoots to her cute commercials with a talking dog, and many casual fans don't really care how good she is at tennis.

9. Shaquille O'Neal

I think we can all agree that Shaq is past his prime.

O'Neal is one of the best centers to ever play in the NBA, but as of right now, we are more interested in what he's doing off the court.

Whether he is dancing with America's Best Dance Crew's Jabbawockeez or trying to find a new nickname for himself now that he has joined the Boston Celtics, Shaq's game may have diminished.

But his celebrity has not.

8. Reggie Bush

Reggie Bush has been in the public eye quite a bit lately. And it's not because of his football skills.

Bush's relationship with reality television star Kim Kardashian was highly publicized, and he was a staple on Keeping Up With The Kardashians for a while.

Recently, NCAA violations surrounding the running back's college career at USC have made headlines, and Bush is known for being stripped of his Heisman Trophy instead of his performance with the Saints.

7. Brett Favre

Brett Favre is, without a doubt, a future NFL Hall of Famer, but his recent "will he or won't he" antics put him at No. 7 on our list.

Last season, Favre demonstrated that he still has what it takes to play with the youngsters in the NFL, but his off-field drama has overshadowed his football career.

6. Clinton Portis

Portis' comments concerning Ines Sainz and NFL locker room behavior have really brought some media attention to the Redskins running back.

"You know man, I think you put women reporters in the locker room in positions to see guys walking around naked, and you sit in the locker room with 53 guys, and all of the sudden you see a nice woman in the locker room, I think men are gonna tend to turn and look and want to say something to that woman.

"For the woman, I think they make it so much that you can't interact and you can't be involved with athletes, you can't talk to these guys, you can't interact with these guys.

"And I mean, you put a woman and you give her a choice of 53 athletes, somebody got to be appealing to her. You know, somebody got to spark her interest, or she's gonna want somebody. I don't know what kind of woman won't, if you get to go and look at 53 men's packages.

"And you're just sitting here, saying 'Oh, none of this is attractive to me.' I know you're doing a job, but at the same time, the same way I'm gonna cut my eye if I see somebody worth talking to, I'm sure they do the same thing."

Sexist? Maybe.

Out of line? Definitely.

5. Alex Rodriguez

A-Rod is one of the most recognizable figures in baseball, but sadly, this is not because of his talent.

Rodriguez has made headlines for both steroid use and his personal life, and it seems like the public is more interested in who A-Rod is dating than how he performs on the field.

4. Michael Vick

Michael Vick seems to be ready to lead the Philadelphia Eagles right now, but his name has become synonymous with bad news.

Vick was convicted and imprisoned on charges of dog-fighting, and a recent "public" birthday party resulting in a shooting have kept the focus on anything but football.

3. Chad Ochocinco

Chad Ochocinco is The Ultimate Catch.

Or at least that's what they say on VH1.

From Twitter to reality television to his controversial name change, Ochocinco is very good at attracting media attention in all aspects of his life.

2. Terrell Owens

You saw this one coming!

The Batman to Chad Ochocinco's Robin makes our list at No. 2.

T.O. has had even more drama off the field than Chad Ochocinco, and now that these two have teamed up, the media is absolutely drooling.

What will they think of next?

Better get your popcorn ready!

1. The New York Jets

I think we're all a little sick of hearing about the New York Jets.

First, the Jets documented their training camps with HBO's Hard Knocks.

Then they have off-field trouble with a holdout by Darrelle Revis.

Next, they allegedly "sexually harass" a female reporter.

And then they lose to the Ravens.

It's pretty safe to say that the Jets' focus has definitely been more on off-field drama than on-field success.
