EURO 2012 Qualification: Croatia Vs Greece Preview

Croatia is ready to maintain their great home form.

Aside from their 4-1 hiding by England in 2008 Slaven Bilic's Croatia have a superb record at home in competitive games.

While, Greece earned a point in their 1-1 draw at home with Georgia but will need a sizable increase in performance to get anything in Zagreb.

Anything other than a home win doesn't seem very likely.

GREECE

Greece is facing big change after Otto Rehhagel decided to let his coach role for somebody else. He was in charge for nine long years. Of course, we all remember Greece miracle in European Championship (2004, Portugal) when they won the title. Otto created amazing team. Their best attributes were very defensive team that scores a lot from a break.

Amazing how they beat two times host team, Portugal with results 2-1 in group stage and in the final 1-0. Charisteas scored the winning goal and brought them first European Championship title.

Today, Greece is under Fernando Santos control. Portuguese manager showed that players need to work hard and that their is no time for fun. He also gave them a lot of weird rules and player's need to meet those rules.

They didn't start  very well into new European Championship qualification cycle as they surprisingly tied with Georgia. Result was 1-1 and now Greece will have big task ahead of them. Very hard one.

CROATIA

Croatia missed World Cup for the first time in their history. Captain Dario Srna said that it was really hard to watch World Cup on TV, and now he is very motivated to bring Croatia back on big stage of football.

Slaven Bilić is still with Croatia and he started his third Cycle of qualification. He showed great manager abilities, and now is also ready to bring more success to Croatia in future.

Croatia started perfectly into this qualification. They went on away match against Latvia and beat them easily 3-0. Croatia showed great football again and their great talent was on high form.

Also, Croatia missed their best player, Luka Modric who missed the match because of light injury but he will be ready for Greece on Tuesday. Luka Modric will be great help in Croatian midfield.

CONCLUSION

Croatia is a big favorite for this match. Greece is not that dangerous as they used to be.  If Croatia will take this match seriously and forgot the word "favorites" they will win this one without big problems.

Also, Greece might show another face after big disappointment after the draw against Georgia.

RESULT:     Croatia vs Greece   3-1
