Can you believe that the Ravens might be an offensive powerhouse?

Breaking down their 2010 Match-Ups reveal a pretty picture for the pass game and an even better one for the run game.

From nothing to something big in the off season, the Ravens now are the Young & The Restless of football with Fried Rice, "show me the money" Boldin, "fountain of jukes" Mason and TJ hookah.  Of course in command is Count Flacco-la.

In the next slide, you'll see how these match-ups rank.

In my analysis of the Baltimore Ravens’ 2010 match-ups, I looked at the run and pass defenses rankings from last year.  The worst defenses are color-coded green (IE, favorable match-up) and the best are red (unfavorable match-up).

We can see that the Ravens have 7 run match-ups where they face a team ranked worse than 19th.  While they jump out of the gate against two good Ds, there’s only 3 more difficult ones left in the season (note, these are last year’s rankings, so I expect a bunch of changes throughout the season.)

The Ravens should be able to greatly exploit the 5 bad pass Ds they’ll face and will be particularly strong after the bye when they’ll only face two big Ds.

Of course, injuries have to be a worry, but now with the addition of TJ, they get a deeper receiving core that should last them the season.
