Since the New York Jets traded for Brett Favre, they will probably drop Chad Pennington soon. The Miami Dolphins do not have any good QBs, so I think Chad would be a good addition for the Dolphins.
Pennington was a great QB several years ago, but he just hasn't been able to show his skills the last three or four years because he has constantly been injured.
I think it was not smart at all to put Clemens ahead of Pennington on the New York Jets depth chart. I mean Pennington has been injured lately, and he is great when he is healthy, so I wouldn't consider dropping him.
If the New York Jets drop Chad Pennington, I think it would be a great move for the dolphins to add Pennington to the team.

Chad has always been injury prone, has never had a great arm, and had not shown any
great ability or interest in mentoring while with the Jets. Can he manage a game better
than Josh, maybe, but that's not enough to outweigh his proven baggage. It would be
a bad move for the Dolphins. Let's develop what we have and give them some real pro
help at Receivers. Thanks,
D. Davenport

As a Jets and a Pennington fan, I have seen every game Chad has played. When healthy he is a good QB. He can be really good! He has suffered from major injuries. I can not think of another QB who has experienced as many significant injuries and returned to the game. He is a great competitor.
The Tuna drafted Pennington. He knows how smart Chad is. Clearly he is big on him. If he provides Chad a strong offensive line, he will make the Dolphins a much better team.
I will be rooting for Chad. No one has faced more adversity and worked as hard to return. He is also a class act in a league that needs more of them.

Please No! Chad Pennington,If he was any good the jets would not get rid of him, They would love for the Dolphins to pick him up. I would rather build a younger player. The Dolphins should have went for Bret Favre instead....

I have a stronger arm than Chad Pennington! I've never seen a quarterback throw more ducks than that guy. There's too many QB's in miami right now and if they were to bring him in some one would have to go. He was good once upon a time but I think that time has passed.

Kevin - your arm is not stronger than Chad's, sorry. Chad is better than anything you have in Miami. Don't belive the media hype about Chads "noodle" arm. That was NY frustration.
Consider yourself lucky that the Jets signed Favre. If Chad puts up the numbers he put up last year, the Fins will be significantly better. This is classic Tuna. He will make this work for Chad.
You have a good QB. I just wish he was still a Jet.

From PFT:
CHAD BETTER THAN BRETT ON THE LONG BALL?
Posted by Mike Florio on August 9, 2008, 11:44 p.m.
On Saturday, Jets quarterback Brett Favre addressed the perception that his predecessor, Chad Pennington, has an arm like a limp, um, noodle.
“I think every time I’ve faced Chad, I’ve lost,” Favre said. “He’s played extremely well. . . . In Green Bay a couple of years ago, he played outstanding. I have nothing but the highest regard for Chad. [He is an] extremely bright guy. The knock on him was his arm wasn’t that strong. So what? I can throw it through a wall, but I don’t win every game I play in. It doesn’t matter. He’s very effective.”
Favre likely doesn’t realize just how right on the money he is. Per Tim Graham of ESPN.com, the Elias Sports Bureau has crunched the numbers for quarterbacks based on attempts of more than 20 yards over the past four years.
Pennington’s passer rating on such plays? A whopping 107.7. Favre, in contrast, falls nearly four points south of the Kordoza line, at 66.9.
Due in part to the fact that Favre has played in 64 games as opposed to 40 from Pennington, Favre has 290 attempts of more than 20 yards, and Pennington has only 108. But Pennington has thrown only four interceptions on 20-plus-yard attempts. Favre has chucked 35.
