Top 5 Sleepers For 2010 Fantasy Football

Everybody has their own perceptions as to how to create a winning fantasy football team. Some guys stack up on three halfbacks with their first three picks, some auto-pick because he doesn't trust himself, and then there's THAT guy who picks up Chad Ochocinco in the 3rd round and is convinced that snagging up a kicker in the 10th round is necessary. These are usually also the same guys that take until Week 7 to pay the admission fee.
They're wrong. Like almost all things in life, fantasy football comes down to the little things. Winning requires watching extra ESPN, buying the NFL Network, having a little luck with pickups throughout the season, and maybe a little dirtiness. Winning comes from thinking outside of the box and being the first to do it.
The players that matter are not the first round picks or the defenses. You know what you're going to get out of your TE, Def, #1 RB, QB, #1 WR. It's the other three players that make the difference between going 10-3 and 7-6. Here are five players that you might not have considered drafting or starting but if anything, are worth a consideration.
5) Davone Bess - WR Miami
I've had my eye on this guy since his freshmen year of college at the University of Hawaii. He is small but he’s a quality receiver. He’s a quick speedy guy who always had a major role in passing offenses. He has tremendous hands and is becoming a nice role player in Miami. He went un-drafted and has earned his spot into a unique offense. Having Brandon Marshall is only going to take more attention away from Bess. And playing against a weak Tampa Bay team, I wouldn't be surprised to see Bess opening the season with 6-7 catches and a TD. He shouldn't have many problems with young, and unproven Aqib Talib lined up on him either.
4) Jacoby Jones - WR Houston
This guy is extremely skilled and underrated. It's just a matter of time before teams start slowing down Andre Johnson. He's becoming the reason teams are losing to Houston and coaches are going to start catching on. Ok, maybe not catching on and shutting him down but Andre won't have another 1,500 yard season. Not with that schedule and a target on his head. Jacoby Jones is fast, tall, and is starting to develop some chemistry with Matt Schaub. He averaged 16.2 yards a catch that season and is completely under the radar. He's young, quick, and has the potential for a 1,000 yard season if healthy.
3) CJ Spiller - RB Buffalo
I can't believe that there is still a competition for the starting job in Buffalo. When I see this guy run he reminds me of Adrian Petersen. He's young, versatile, and has a somewhat awkward/violent running style that separates him from everyone else. There is something about this C.J that is special and I could see this guy being the next big name in the AFC. Even if he doesn't have the starting job this, the Bills rush the ball enough that C.J will get involved. Lynch and Jackson cannot stay healthy and it's just a matter of time before this guy becomes a big name. Offensive Coordinator/ Running back coach Curtis Modkins loves him and cannot wait to use him. I see him having several big games, starting by week 5 and finishing his first year in the NFL as a potential Offensive Rookie of the Year. CJs been a hit in the preseason and has throughout his football career been a dominant force at running back. This is one of those guys who could do it throughout the NFL too.
2) Terrell Owens - WR Bengals
I might be crazy for putting him here but he has awesome potential. TO always has good numbers, except for Buffalo, which can you blame him? His antics get the ball thrown to him and whether you hate him or not, he guy is a Hall of Fame receiver. Ochocinco seems to not mind sharing the limelight and TO still has plenty left in his tank. He's an athlete and he has a great quarterback throwing the ball his away. For a guy that you can pick up in the 10-12th round, the risk is well worth the reward.
1) Arian Foster - RB Houston
This ex-volunteer could have a huge season in the stays healthy. The ended the season and preseason on a great note and it looks as though he's won the starting job at running back. Steve Slaton is going to have a nagging injury all season and management wasn't a huge fan of his anyway. Foster is going to have an opportunity for a tremendous year and has the resources to have a 1,200yd 10+ TD season.
