Many great things has been said about Mississippi Valley St star point guard Jerome Harris thus far. Harris who signed with Mississippi Valley St back in April over Minnesota, Texas, and Gonzaga is coming off a strong year at Spoon River Junior College. Harris is said to be one of the most highly recruited players to sign with Mississippi Valley St in recent years. At 6'3 Harris has the natural feel for the game and makes everyone around him better. Harris is going to bring instant offense into Mississippi Valley St's program as you should see a more polished and organized team. Coming off a rocky season MVSU returns 4 starters from last season led by Shannon Behling who was the teams leading scorer last season.

With the potential and success of Harris so far you can imagine why he has such big shoes to fill. Harris who was arguably the top junior college point guard in the country now rates as a top 20 point guards in NCAA. With Harris running the show look for Behling, Paul Crosby (transfer), and juco All American CoCo Ware to all have big years. Head coach Sean Woods loves the way Harris runs the show. In a past article Woods makes it known that Harris is his starting point guard stating that Harris is going to push his current guards because he is such a great decision maker and knows how to run a team.

Looking into Mississippi Valley St's 2010-2011 basketball schedule you will find one of the toughest schedule in the country. The Devils face up against schools like Kentucky, Arkansas, Marquette, Indiana, St Mary's, BYU, Butler and more. This will be a great test for Harris being a high profile point guard. Indeed Woods knows he will have a point guard that can compete and lead his team against heavy headers like that. With Harris living up to expectations expect great things coming from Sean Woods Mississippi Valley St squad.
