In sports there are athletes that people hate and want to kill like Michael Vick, Tiger Woods, and Big Ben Roethlisberger.

But then there are some athletes that people love and want to buy jerseys and T-shirts with that person's name on it.

Usually these athletes are young athletes that have come into the league to shine and help their team win instead of not trying to win at all (meaning you, LeBron).

This is a list of the five most loved and adored athletes in the sports world.

Honorable Mentions

CLEVELAND - APRIL 27: Derrick Rose #1 and Luol Deng #9 of the Chicago Bulls react late in the game while playing the Cleveland Cavaliers during Game Five of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals during the 2010 NBA Playoffs at Quicken Loans Arena on April

5. Serena Williams

People might disagree with me on this one but she is a great tennis player, and has really not done anything wrong.

4. Dwight Howard

I love Dwight Howard. He has such a good heart and plays for wins instead of individual stats.

3. Kevin Durant

Kevin Durant is probably the most unselfish player in the NBA and maybe even sports.

And while LeBron was making a huge deal about his free agency, Durant signed an extension quietly without anyone knowing.

2. Drew Brees

Drew Brees just won the Super Bowl but only by himself.

Brees wants everyone to be involved in every play and never says anything mean about anybody.

1. Phil Mickelson

How can you hate this guy?

I mean really there is no reason why anybody should hate him.

He is such a good person especially to his wife, Amy.
