So Chris Jericho announced on RAW this past Monday that if he didn’t win the WWE Championship at Night of Champions that he will retire from the WWE.

This came as a surprise to a lot of WWE Universe, but many of us know that Jericho’s contract will be up soon and no new contract has been reached yet. Jericho has said previously that he is at the top of his game and doesn’t see himself retiring anytime soon. Being the Jerichoholic that I am, I was taken aback by his announcement and instantly feared the worse! The end of Chris Jericho in the WWE!

But fear not fellow Bleachers and Jerichoholics, the end might not be as near for the “best in the world at what he does”.  Jericho has said on his Twitter that he was offered a spot on the new season of Dancing with the Stars on ABC. He said that he turned it down due to scheduling conflicts. DWTS airs on Monday with the results show on Tuesday.  So even a move to the blue brand for Jericho would prevent him from doing the show, should he continue with the WWE.

Jericho speculating his retirement could just be a move by Vince to stir up more interest in the six pack challenge. I know I for one was probably not going to buy the payperview, but it looks like that I have to now being that it could possibly be Jericho's last match in the WWE.

Draw whatever minuscule connections you would like from this, but for this die hard Jerichoholic, it leaves me with some hope that we will not lose one of the greatest wrestlers of all time when he still has a lot to give us.
