Well it seems Tito Ortiz found what he was looking for; an idiot to pay him a ton of money to keep fighting. That idiot would be Donald Trump and Affliction. This is not a Tito bashing by any means, and while I'm not a big fan of Ortiz anymore I guess he will bring some more attention to the new promotion.
Is it just me or does anyone else think Tito's best days are far, far behind him? No one can take away how dominant and great he WAS, but with a 0-2-1 record in his last three fights and a shady win over current champ Forrest Griffin before that, I'd say he is washed up.
Tito is a victim of his own style. He has always fought the exact same way and while the athletes in the sport are adapting to the versatility of styles Tito just does the same old thing.
He stands until he can shoot and then grounds and pounds until a stoppage. While he had a tremendous amount of success with that, it seems that everyone knows he isn't going to change. This is why it is easy to beat him.
His first fight with Affliction is going to be against another past his prime fighter in Renato Sobral. Babalu was averagely impressive in his last fight and this seems to be another boring fight in the making.
Tito has also said he would then like to have a rematch with Frank Shamrock after Babalu. Again, another fight that serves no real purpose in the advancement of his career. It seems he just wants to make as much money as possible now and not try to reestablish his legacy.
Also, he has mentioned fighting at heavyweight. This just makes me think he has completely lost his mind. Does anyone think he has a chance against the likes of Andrei Arlovski, Tim Sylvia, Josh Barnett, Alexsander, or dare I say, Fedor? I think it's time for Tito to hang up the gloves and live off Jenna's bankroll.

it would be very interesting to see if his career started to tank when he began dating Jenna Jameson. its seems like he went from terror of the UFC to distracted and beaten in less then 2 years. plus fighting shamrock, although entertaining, didn't benefit him in the long run.
"He has always fought the exact same way and while the athletes in the sport are adapting to the versatility of styles Tito just does the same old thing." When he fought Lidell you could tell he wasn't really ready for him and looked intimidated.

Sorry, but Tito needs to just give it up. It's like Michael Jordon playing with the Washington Wizards.

If someone pays him just to be himself then I'd say he's got it made.
