The All-Time Chelsea Team

Chelsea might have turned into a world-class team when Roman Abramovich bought the club and spent hundreds of millions. But The Blues have always had brilliant players. This is my favorite eleven who have ever played for Chelsea.

Please feel free to debate, discuss, pick your own players or criticize my choices. I will form my team with the current stars and those of the 90's:

Formation 3-4-3

GK: Petr Cech. Ed de Goey, Mark Bosnich and fan-favorite Carlo Cudicini have always been shaky. It doesn't get better than the Czech keeper.

CB: John Terry. The skipper has the leadership skills and he can surely defend!

CB: Ricardo Carvalho. Another excellent Mourinho acquisition, Carvalho has proven himself as one of the best defenders in the world

CB: Marcel Desailly. A France legend and a great defender. He was released when Jose Mourinho arrived, but still he was a great defender.

CDM: Claude Makelele. He was signed from Real Madrid, and was one of the most important figures in the Chelsea line-up as the team held two consecutive titles during the reign of Jose Mourinho.

CM: Michael Essien. He was signed from Lyon after being named the best player in France. He cost Chelsea a lot of dough, but turned out to be worth every penny. Excellent midfielder.

CM: Dennis Wise. He was instrumental with Chelsea back in the 90's

AM: Frank Lampard. Already a legend at Chelsea, Lampard is a complete midfielder.

CF: Gianfranco Zola. My favorite. A legend with dazzling abilities. A true blue with splendid technique.

St: Didier Drogba. The Ivorian has been fabulous since he was introduced. And once he got fully adapted to life in London, he started scoring and playing a star role in the Chelsea first-time.

St: Bobby Tambling. The all-time Chelsea goalscorer. Enough said I guess.
