World Title Unification at Wrestlemania 27: 5 Possible Matches

0 of 5

News broke this week that the WWE is considering unifying the WWE Championship and the World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania.

This news allows for speculation as to whom will participate in this important main event.  After looking over the options, limiting myself to current WWE wrestlers, it seems as though only five matches could be the main event befitting this historic occassion.

Number 5: HHH vs. John Cena

1 of 5

John Cena vs. HHH comes in at number five because while it has the star power to be an excellent main event, we've already seen this match or a variation of it in two of the last five Wrestlemanias.

Number 4: HHH vs. The Undertaker

2 of 5

HHH vs. The Undertaker has not happened at Wrestlemania in ten years.  This match would have all the ingredients for a stellar main event: two good workers, icons of wrestling, titles and the Undertaker's streak.

Number 3: John Cena vs. Wade Barrett

3 of 5

John Cena vs. Wade Barrett is number three because of the potential white hot heat it could generate.  If the Nexus vs. Cena storyline progresses in the right direction, the climax of this feud could be a huge moneymaker.

Number 2: John Cena vs. HHH vs. Randy Orton vs. The Undertaker

4 of 5

A match with the four biggest superstars in the WWE, main eventing Wrestlemania, to unify the World Titles, what could possibly be bigger than this....

Number 1: John Cena vs. The Undertaker

5 of 5

John Cena vs. The Undertaker would be a colossal main event.  The Undertaker and Cena is a fresh match-up that will keep fans guessing about the outcome.  Will John Cena overcome all the odds (again) and end the Undertaker's streak to unify the belts or will The Undertaker continue his Wrestlemania reign?

    Let the debate begin.
