It's official, Rafael van der Vaart has been transferred from Real Madrid to Tottenham after the EPL accepted the move.

The midfielder has been transferred for 11 million Euros, which doesn't seem a very hefty price, considering other transactions that happened this summer.

Van der Vaart had played well with the few chances he got, but with new head-coach Jose Mourinho adding offensive players like Mesut Özil, Sergio Canales and Ángel Di María, it looked like van der Vaart was no longer needed.

The transfer almost didn't happen since the summer transaction period deadline was getting closer and Madrid also listened offers from Manchester United, Shalke 04 and Chelsea.

Ultimately, the Spurs got their man and they're hoping he will make an impact on a club that's currently in 13th place in the Premier League.
