MLB, NL Central, Cincinnati Reds, Milwaukee Brewers, Prince Fielder, Edinson Volquez, Game Recap

It seems as if Prince Fielder shoving Manny Parra phased Fielder. Fielder hit a two-run bomb, his 26th of the year, as the Brew Crew rolled past the Reds, 8-1. Corey Hart struck gold against Reds ace Edinson Volquez in the first inning when Hart hit a two-out two-run triple to deep left center. Ryan Braun and Fielder scored as a result of the triple as both reached base with two out. Hart added another RBI in the fifth when he hit a sac fly to center to score J.J. Hardy. Hart would finish the night 2-3 with three RBI's and a walk.

The Brew Crew got three doubles, four extra-base hits, off Volquez in all. Milwaukee tagged Volquez for five runs in five innings.

The Brewers did all this behind a strong outing by number four starter Dave Bush. Bush pitched seven innings while giving up one run and striking out seven.

It seemed to be a total team effort this evening as they had a team batting average of .342 (13-38).

Milwaukee will look to win the series tomorrow when Jeff Suppan (6-7, 4.75 ERA) gets the start against Homer Bailey (0-5, 7.55 ERA). First pitch is set for 12:35 p.m. Eastern.

The Crew still stands five games back yet of the Chicago Cubs who beat the Astros today, 11-5.
