Many people have been asking for it, and it's finally going to happen.

In an interview after practice on Wednesday August 25th, Head Coach Tom Cable was asked a straightforward question, "Who is going to be the center for this game, coach?" To which he gave a straightforward answer.

"It'll be Jared Veldheer."

Raider Nation as a unit have been waiting to see this move, and due to the injury to Samson Satele, and the sub-par play of Chris Morris, Veldheer will finally get his chance.

Now we all know Veldheer got his chance to start at Tackle last week against the Bears, and we all know he struggled a bit (give him a break, he's a rookie up against Julius Peppers). But Center may be his "fast-track" to contributing to this offense.

Let's face it, Satele and Morris have both struggled quite a bit in this offense, and Oakland needs a servicable Center. Jared Veldheer finally has his shot, and if he takes advantage of it, he will be in the starting lineup in Tennessee.

We will get a very good look at the future of our offensive line on Saturday, and I believe he will deliver.
