Just in case any of you might be interested, the Lingerie Football League (LFL) kicks off its second season this coming Friday night, August 27, when the Los Angeles Temptation take on the Seattle Mist.
The LFL, an idea that grew from the Lingerie Bowl—an annual pay-per-view event aired every year during halftime of the Super Bowl—had a wildly successful first season, culminating in the final game of the year, Lingerie Bowl VI, won by the Los Angeles Temptation.
This season, MTV purchased the rights to broadcast 20 regular season games and two conference games, to be aired on Friday nights.
We'll break down the stars of the LFL, provide statistical analysis, offer our views of pending matchups.... oh screw that, we're just going to show you some hot pics!
Niki Ghazian, an import from Iran, works the line on both sides of the ball for the defending champion Temptation.
Niki is obsessed with football, and actually loves to kick some major booty.
Niki has been a professional model since 2003, appearing in a host of magazines, including FHM and Maxim. She is also studying for her law degree.
A girl that knows football and law, now that's what I call diverse!
Libby Liberatore is one of two quarterbacks for the Chicago Bliss, last year's Eastern Conference champions. Libby, a huge fan favorite, looks to help the Bliss defend their conference championship as the Bliss open against the Dallas Desire on September 10.
With an image like this, is it really necessary to tell you anything more about Michele?
The state of Texas has seen different versions of the "Twin Towers" in its recent sports history, most notably David Robinson and Tim Duncan of the NBA's San Antonio Spurs, and before them, Ralph Sampson and Hakeem Olajuwon of the Houston Rockets.
Dallas Desire fans have their own version of the Twin Towers, in Candis Mosley and Toni Kelley. And they are definitely a LOT more breathtaking than the two previous Texas versions.
Mosley and Kelley are both nearly six feet tall and have similar body types, causing many to think they’re twins. They both excel on defense as well. Would any guy seriously complain if they saw these two lovelies coming on a blitz?
Meg Liz Miller, running back for the Miami Caliente, is a cheerleader for the NHL's Florida Panthers, and formerly cheered for the Florida Marlins in 2008.
Meg has been a dancer her entire life, and also hosts a video blog in her spare time.
She considers creativity among her strongest characteriitics. No doubt that anyone could get their creative juices flowing with Meg around!
Jessy Jamez of the Dallas Desire is an experienced model, recently featured in Yums Jelly Beans ads. Born and raised in the St. Louis area, Jessy relocated to Dallas to pursue her modeling career.
Jessy’s accomplishments include being featured in various national magazines, calendars, fashion shows and music videos. And of course, she is now featured on the gridiron in Dallas.
Linda Brenner, quarterback for the Dallas Desire, was one of the stars of the LFL last season, tossing eight TD passes, and was selected as an All-Fantasy player. Her simple desire for the Desire is to bring a championship to Dallas.
I'm not sure about her championship desires, but other desires certainly come to mind...
Jackie Danico, quarterback for the Philadelphia Passion, has been a dancer and model for several years, gracing the pages of MAXIM magazine, FHM and Healthy Aging. She was also selected as a MAXIM hometown hottie for 2009.
This season, Jackie may have lost her job to incoming QB Christie Burns, but that certainly doesn't mean she can't grace these pages !
Stacey, the placekicker for the Seattle Mist, originally hails from Canada and enjoyed watching the Canadian Football League growing up. Stacey is a huge fan of James Bond movies, and had a huge crush on Roger Moore. I'm guessing that Stacey has a few guys harboring crushes for her as well!
