Thank God for tennis. The U.S. Open returns on August 30, and as always, it's going to be loaded with beauty and talent everywhere you look.

There's beautiful women sitting in the stands and there's hot chicks playing tennis on the courts.

Who will come out on top of this list?

A WAG or an athlete?  You've got 50 women to click through to find out.

Enjoy!

50. Angelique Kerber

Kerber

Kerber is a German-born lefty currently ranked in the world's top 50.

What else do we know about her?

She looks good in blue.

And she played into the second round of the 2009 U.S. Open.

49. Kim Clijsters

Kim-clijsters_display_image

She is the defending 2009 U.S. Open champion.

She became the ever first unseeded player to take home the U.S. Open trophy.

48. Meghann Shaughnessy

Shaugh_display_image

Her career ranking topped out at no. 11 in 2001.

Shaughnessy is best known for her strong serve.

At 5'11", she cranks out a lot of power on that serve.

47. Magdalena Rybarikova

Born in Slovakia, Rybarikova has had the most success playing at the U.S. Open.

Each of the last two years, she's lost in the third round of the tournament.

46. Justine Henin

Justine-henin3_display_image

Henin has had a very successful career.

She has won seven Grand Slam titles, which includes two U.S. Open titles.

After flirting with retirement for 16 months, she is only starting to regain her old form.

45. Alize Cornet

Alize_cornet_display_image

Cornet looks like a fun-loving French tennis player.

Her best U.S. Open showing came in '07 and '08 when she fell in the third round of the Open.

44. Marta Domachowska

Marta-domachowska_display_image

Sorry to say, but Marta lost in the first round in her bid to qualify for the U.S. Open this year.

Too bad you won't get to see her in action.

So take a good look of her now and enjoy.

43. Serena Williams

Gallery_main-serena-williams-booty_display_image

Alright, we know Serena is not playing in this year's tournament.

But what's a tennis slideshow without her in it.

Some guys dig the booty.  And she's got plenty of it.

42. Simona Halep

Simonahalep_display_image

She's an 18-year-old Romanian who just broke into the top 100 in world rankings.

Take a wild guess what people talk more about, her boobs or her game?

Halep thought her large boobs got in the way of her tennis game and opted for breast reduction surgery last summer, taking her down to a 34C.

What was it before?  No idea, can anyone guess?

41. Yanina Wickmayer

Wick2_display_image

She certainly looks to be playful in this photo.

Only 20 years old, she's ranked number no. 17 in the world.

Last year, Wickmayer lost to Caroline Wozniacki in the semifinals of the U.S. Open.

After showing steady improvement since turning pro, there's no doubt a Grand Slam title could be in her future.

Maybe even as soon as this tournament.

40. Venus Williams

She's one of the top female tennis players in the world.

And she's a two-time U.S. Open winner.

Venus will start the tournament ranked no. 4 and is more than capable of going deep into the competition.

39. Agnes Szavay

Szavay_agnes_display_image

Not only is she Hungary's highest-ranked tennis player, she's one of their better-looking ones too.

Szavay is ranked No. 35 in the world.

Her best U.S. Open performance came in 2007, when she reached the quarterfinals.

38. Sania Mirza

Sania-mirza_0_display_image

Ranked outside the WTA's top 100, Mirza is trying to qualify for the U.S. Open.

She might be at the U.S. Open, she might not.

What else is there, but to tell you: Enjoy her while she's here.

37. Jelena Dokic

Adokic_display_image

Back in this year's Wimbledon, Dokic failed to qualify after losing in the second round.

Many thought that she was on her way to retirement.

Yet she's still around and determined to qualify for the U.S. Open.

But just like in Wimbledon, she didn't qualify.  This time, she lost in the first round in straight sets.

Too bad.

36. Iveta Benesova

Iveta-benesova-photos-2-1_display_image

This 27-year-old lefthander is ranked No. 67 in the world.

But she hasn't been able to get further than the second round of the U.S. Open.

So can she win it?  Not likely.  At least we can admire her for a few rounds.

35. Alona & Kateryna Bondarenko

Alonakaterynabondarenko_display_image

Alona's best U.S. Open showings came in 2007 and 2008 when she made it to the third round of the championships.

Her current world ranking is No. 31.

Kateryna is ranked No. 64, but made it all the way to last year's U.S. Open quarterfinals.

Together, as doubles partners, they took home the French Open title in 2008.

They're no Williams sisters on the court, but the Bondarenkos still make a sexy-looking pair.

34. Tsvetana Pironkova

Tsvetanapironkova_display_image

This 22-year-old Bulgarian beauty is the No. 34 tennis player in the world.

She is having a very successful year thus far.  Her run at Wimbledon this year was the first time that she had ever finished in the semifinals of a Grand Slam.

Now, at the U.S. Open, she just might improve upon that success.

33. Klara Zakopalova

Klara-zakopalova-8032s_display_image

Zakapolva's ranked at No. 36 in the world prior to the 2010 U.S. Open.

She's been on a tear of late, upsetting Aravane Rezai and Flavia Pennetta during the 2010 Wimbledon Championships and facing Carolyn Wozniacki in the 2010 Danish Open.

Though she's never made it past the first round in previous U.S. Open appearances, this could be the year she breaks that barrier.

32. Julia Gorges

Julia_goerges_tennis_9_display_image

Julia is definitely a cutie and ranked No. 40 in the world.

In her career, the U.S. Open has given her the hardest time of all the Grand Slam titles.

Gorges has been ousted in the first round of the tournament each of the last three years.

31. Sorana Cirstea

Sonyericssonopenday3yigvhmbzdrrl_display_image

This raven-haired beauty from Romania is currently ranked No. 63.

Last year, at the U.S. Open, Sorana made it as far as the third round of the tournament.

But what's really keeping her from getting any further is her need to break away from her controlled style of play

Doesn't something about her seem like she wants to let loose?

30. Stefanie Voegele

Voegle_display_image

This Swiss miss is 20 years old and ranked number No. 98 in the world.

She's definitely coming to form, but probably another year or two away from making noise in a Grand Slam tournament.

29. Jelena Jankovic

Janko_display_image

Wow, that's quite an outfit.

Hey Jelena, please don't give Serena any ideas.

All kidding aside, Jankovic is a great player.

She is ranked No. 5 in the world and lost to Serena Williams during the 2008 U.S. Open.

28. Elena Vesnina

Hottennischicks-vesnina_display_image

She's a long, lean hitting machine.

Azarenka is ranked No. 11 in the world.  She's even been known to pose in her bikini.

Shocking for a tennis player, right?

The U.S. Open is the only Grand Slam tournament that she has yet to reach the quarterfinals of.

26. Anastasia Pivovarova

Anastasia_pivovarova_display_image

She looks more like a hot Russian model than a tennis player in this photo.

At 5'11", she does have the height to be one.

Only 20 years old, she's an up-and-comer in tennis.

She'll be playing in the qualifying tournament of this year's U.S. Open.

Karolina_sprem1_display_image

Sprem is soaked in sweat in this photo.

But it just makes you appreciate all of her hard work.

That's just hot, hot beyond belief.

24. Nastya Osipova

Osipova_display_image

Marat Safin's girlfriend looks pretty bored sitting in the stands.

She is a Russian pop star, but it doesn't appear that tennis is her thing.

Well, Safin is known to be a player both on and off the court.

So good news for Nastya, she might not have to be around that long.

23. Sabine Lisicki

Lisicki_display_image

Ah, Sabine, that's a great smile.

She has been injured and missed Wimbledon this year but still remains in the top 100.

After being away for a while, the U.S. Open will be a test to see how much she has recovered.

22. Mirka Federer

Mirka_display_image

Mirka is a former tennis player, mother of twins, and wife of one of the greatest tennis players of all time, Roger Federer.

Anna_chakvetadze_display_image

Hantuchova_display_image

Here's Hantuchova all made-up.

19. Severine Beltrame

Severine_display_image

Her world ranking has dipped all the way to the 200s, after reaching a personal high of No. 34 in 2007.

That same year, Bremond reached a personal best—the fourth round—of the U.S. Open.

She beat the likes of Julia Gorgia, Nicole Vaidisova, and Tathiana Garbin.

Now she's competing in this year's qualifying tournament.

Here's hoping she makes it.  Don't you?

18. Caroline Wozniacki

Wozi_display_image

Ok, video game nerds.  I give you the girl of your dreams.

Are you in love?

17. Stacey Gardner

Staceyg_display_image

But the most interesting thing about Stacey is that she's a briefcase model for "Deal or No Deal" with a law degree.

16. Vera Zvonareva

Vz1_display_image

Ranked No. 7 in the world, Vera is definitely more intimidating on the tennis court than she is lying in bed.

This Russian-born right-hander reached the fourth round of the U.S. Open in 2009.  But she does have a doubles U.S. Open title which she won in 2006, while partnered with Nathalie Dechy.

She also lost in the Wimbledon finals last June to Serena Williams.

15. Kim Sears

If you were Andy Murray, would you spend more time with her or play video games?

At one point, he picked the video games.

Then she left him.  Good for her!

But wait, she took him back!

Uggh.

14. Arantxa Rus

Arantxarus_display_image

Rus is still trying to work her way into the top 100 in women's tennis.

She's hot, whether she's in a tennis outfit or in a swimsuit and everyone's starting to notice.

13. Dominika Cibulkova

Cibulkova_display_image

Dominica is definitely a hottie.

11. Xisca Perello

Rafael_nadal_girlfriend_xisca_perello_021_display_image

10. Jennifer Scholle

334x500_jennifer_scholle_49830afa54e75_display_image

She's an ex-girlfriend of James Blake, who by the way, might see the sun set on his career after the U.S. Open.

While the pair were dating, Scholle got herself into a shoot with Maxim.

Take the time to Google those photos, you'll enjoy them.

9. Gisela Dulko

Dulko_display_image

Though she is ranked No. 41 in the world, the Argentinian-born Dulko is hands down a top 10 tennis beauty.

No doubt about it.

She lost in the fourth round of the U.S. Open in 2009, but many tennis fans wish she'd get further this year and as a result, get more TV time.

8. Camile Neviere

88757360

For your viewing and listening pleasure, here is Brooklyn Decker.

Otherwise known as Mrs. Andy Roddick.

Wasn't that two of the most well-spent minutes of your life?

3. Maria Sharapova

Sorry Brooklyn Decker, you may look better, but Sharapova is definitely more well-rounded.

And so are the ladies next on this list.

Maria's a top-ranked tennis player as well as a swimsuit model.  Oh, and girlfriend of Los Angeles Lakers guard, Sasha Vujacic.

That's a lot on her plate.  Which makes her even more amazing.

2. Maria Kirilenko

Kirilenko is ranked No. 25 and having a very solid 2010 season.

It has been a year of personal bests after getting to the quarterfinal of the Australian Open, fourth round of the French Open, and the third round of Wimbledon.

Perhaps she'll also be able to get farther than the third round of the U.S. Open this year.

1. Ana Ivanovic

She's a tennis player and also the girlfriend of a pro golfer, Adam Scott.

Ana is ranked No. 41 in the world and the 2008 French Open champion.
