Garcia, by comparison, is ranked 191st in this category.
So, is Scott going to magically learn how to putt this weekend?
I think the stats show Scott's putting woes are far more mental than it is physical.
Case and point: from 10 to 20 feet outside of the hole Scott is ranked in the top 20.
However, from inside ten feet, Scott is far less than impressive.
Scott has just made half of his putts from 5 to 10 feet. A trend that will not help you win a Major any time this decade.
Despite finishing 56th in the latest WGC event, Scott recovered from Friday's 76 playing two under for the weekend at the tough Bridgestone Golf Course.
More importantly, he has gone 55 straight holes without a three-putt.
What do you think Phil Mickelson would give for that right about now?
With Mickelson's collapse, Kenny Perry's first major since he skipped the last two, Vijay Singh's victory last week and Ian Poulter's pants, Scott will probably be a forgotten man coming into Thursday.
He just cares about being the one remembered on Sunday.
Golf is such a mental game that making clutch putts come with experience.
Scott has been playing in Majors since 2000 and at age 28 has more experience than many players in the field this weekend.
There is a first time for everything and I think Scott is comfortable enough with himself and the situation that he will exorcise some demons and be the first twenty-something to get the monkey off his back.
After all, he has everything else.
Who do you think will win the PGA Championship?
Will it be someone famous or an unknown?
Which of the twenty-somethings will win a Major first?
