So, the FANTASTIC Julio Lugo is on the DL. THANK THE LORD!

This guy is one of the many players that get the chance of a lifetime, the chance to play in the invigorating park that is Fenway, and then don't perform.

He is an overpaid/overrated shortstop. He was an average shortstop before coming to Fenway, and once he got here, he has been terrible. He has more than half of the Red Sox's errors right now, so it's a great thing that he got hurt.

If Francona has any sense, he will keep Lowrie as the starter. If I had a say in it, I would release Lugo from his contract and keep Lowrie as a starter, as he has proved himself on the field.

If he had started for the Red Sox this year, he would be right up there in the running for Rookie of the Year. That's not even pushing it. He would deserve it. He is one of the rookies that the Red Sox brought up as a backup, and then realized that he is better than the starter.

So, to end my rant, I shall leave you with this: Lowrie has the stuff to be something someday, and Lugo is just a washed-up Fenway wannabe. He can't make it, and he needs to go to somewhere like Pittsburgh.

It seems like they have taken a liking to Red Sox players lately, so go to a place where there's just one guy there for the hot dogs and eight drunken idiots fighting over which will fall onto the field first.

Thank you and have a nice day.
