Will Power, driver of the No. 12 Penske car, not only leads the pack barreling down the front-straight, but he's also leading the motion of Verizon's release of the new IZOD IndyCar Series mobile app for Verizon Android phones.

"It's got the news, its got videos, its got all the  points, its got the weather for the next race, its very cool." Power mentioned while surfing the new app on his Droid phone.

The release of the new app is part of the tight relationship between Verizon and the IZOD IndyCar Series. It will give fans an opportunity to read driver biographies, check the latest news, and watch videos on the go. App enhancements including live timing & scoring, like what is offered on the mobile site, will be added through the rest of the 2010 season.

"They (the fans) can basically check out everything."

Though only released on the Verizon network, this will give fans at home or in the stands a great opportunity to have complete updates on what's going on at the track.

Download the app from any Verizon Android phone at mobile.vzw.com/indycar for up-to-date news, and track action, free of charge.
