Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal's title reign didn't last very long. After beating Gegard Mousasi for the belt back in April, the sky was the limit for King Mo. Too bad he couldn't defend his belt.

Rafael Cavalcante, the Brazilian striker who trains out of Black House, made sure of it.

When King Mo got in the clinch to throw some uppercuts and possibly take the fight to the ground, he had no idea that in doing so he was making a big, big mistake.

Cavalcante landed three knees before King Mo could escape, and by then, he was already rocked very badly. A few more punches from Cavalcante sealed the deal, and "Big" John McCarthy stopped the fight at 1:14 of the thrid round.

"King Mo" has officially been dethroned.

This bodes ill for the rest of the division. King Mo was viewed as the class of the division, especially after beating Gegard Mousasi.

With Cavalcante's decisive win, it not only makes King Mo look weaker, Strikeforce's whole 205 pound division will take a major step down in rankings.

It also boosts the rep of Brazil's Black House gym. It now has four fighter's with major division titles, unmatched by any other camp.
