The New York Knicks are trying to acquire three point shooting guard Rudy Fernandez from the Portland Trail Blazers and have offered forward Wilson Chandler.

The Blazers are peeved at Fernandez's constant whining to the international press, though the other side of the deal may not be so much better.

Chandler has off the court issues too. On-court, his athleticism is obvious. Off-court, is a different story: in May, he was arrested for possession of pot during a traffic stop in New York.

That said, Portland could be a good fit for Chandler. Wilson can defend four positions and would have solid chemistry with Brandon Roy, Marcus Camby, etc.

Fernandez would fit in coach D'Antoni style of play. Plus league source said that the Bulls and Celtics have offered Portland a first-round draft pick in for Fernandez.
