Ryan Howard, the Philadelphia Phillies All-Star first baseman, aims to return to the Phillies Monday for the game against the Houston Astros.  He still has the possibility of Sunday in mind, but it seems that Monday is more likely.

This could be the boost the Phillies need to push ahead in the division.  Howard has been out for 17 games, and everyone is ready for his return(except for Braves fans, of course).

For the past two years, Howard has carried this team, leading them to two national league titles and one world series title.

Everyone expects great things from Howard when he makes his return.  Hopefully he will fulfill our expectations.

It seems that the chances are good that the Phillies will make a fourth straight playoff berth.  They are already going strong, and the addition of this slugger might be all they need to surge forward and take the division title from Atlanta, or at least to hold on to their Wild Card lead.

Or so we hope.
