Georgia Tech Basketball Thin This Year

Glynn McGeheeCorrespondent IAugust 4, 2008

Paul Hewitt's Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets face an unfamiliar situation this season.  Instead of having a bench full of players, the Yellow Jackets have a relatively thin group of starters.

The Jackets lost three big time contributing seniors last year in Anthony Morrow, Jeremis Smith, and Matt Causey.  The Jackets also lost their top sixth man recently when senior RaSean Dickey signed a pro basketball contract in Ukraine.

While this may not be a great year for Tech basketball, the Yellow Jackets will be a dangerous team as always—and there is hope for the future.  Tech has two promising sophomores in PG Moe Miller and F Gani Lawal.  Coach Hewitt also has a few good upperclassmen in D'Andre Bell, Lewis Clinch, and Zack Peacock.

Tech is also looking forward to bringing in a very talented and promising recruiting class for the 2009-2010 season.
