The Anquan Boldin Effect
Anquan Boldin will bring a new element to the Baltimore Ravens offense. Boldin is a legit #1 wide receiver and has proved his worth on the field. The Ravens have had a decent core of wide outs, but none of them possess the skill that Boldin has. Pro Bowl receiver Anquan Boldin has been one of the most productive players at his position since entering the NFL in 2003. Despite his success he was overlooked at times
Boldin put up impressive numbers as an Arizona Cardinal and has often been labeled the "toughest player in the NFL". Anquan Boldin teamed up with All-Pro Larry Fitzgerald in Arizona to form one of the best duos at the Wide Receiver position. Boldin had constant issues with the front office and head coach Ken Whisenhunt. General Manager Rod Graves and Boldin would often bump heads about contract issues, but he never let it effect his play on the field. People fail to realize that Boldin was productive before Larry Fitzgerald came into his own as a Hall of Fame receiver.
Boldin will give defensive coordinators headaches in the AFC. It is hard to game plan for Boldin, because he so versatile. A lot of the balls he catches are short passes that end up being long gains due to his ridiculous run after the catch skills. He also lines up in the wildcat and in the slot. Offensive coordinator Cam Cameron will utilize Boldin in the best way possible to maximize his ability.
This will be the first time in Ravens history where their offense will put them in a position to win. With Joe Flaaco, Ray Rice, Derrick Mason, Anquan Boldin, and a solid offensive line the Ravens will be a force to be reckoned with. Fans in Baltimore should be excited about this season. This season may be special for the Ravens. The time is now for the Ravens to soar above the competition.
