NFL Network's Scott Hanson is reporting on Twitter that Brett Favre is on an airplane heading north, which is likely to mean Minneapolis to visit the Vikings.

This came after news that Vikings Jared Allen, Steve Hutchinson, and kicker Ryan Longwell went down to Mississippi yesterday to get an answer form Favre...or tell him how badly they need him.

If Favre decided to go out of his way to fly to Minnesota, it is likely that he received a positive report from Dr. James Andrews regarding his ankle injury and could soon announce a return.

This news should only be taken with slightly more than a grain of salt, but is the strongest indicator thus far that Favre will be in purple this season.

Stay Tuned.
