It looks like the Big Apple might get a smaller version of the Miami dream team. Reports indicate that Carmelo Anthony is expected to sign with the New York Knicks.  Both Ken Berger of CBS sports and Chris Dempsey of The Denver Post reported this yesterday morning.

If Anthony signs with the Knicks, then the N.B.A. will have a new dream team that will have New York fans debating with Miami fans. This could get interesting.

New York already made a huge splash by signing Amar'e Stoudemire. With Anthony in the mix with Stoudemire the N.B.A. would have a big time double team that could rival the trio in Miami, led by LeBron James.

According to CBS sports, Anthony said he wants to do what's best for him and his family.

Denver Nuggets point guard Chauncey Billups remains hopeful that Anthony will stay with the Nuggets. "It's between me and my guy. If y'all have a close personal friend and they're going through something and the media asks, you're not going to expose that. Y'all find out when he wants y'all to know."

Hold on to your seats Knicks fans. It looks like you're in for a wild ride.
