More shocking than this

For those of you who missed Summerslam, there is a great surprise for you. A wrestler who most of us thought was done in the WWE has made his triumphant return. Whether or not it was a shoot from the start is still up in the air.

Spoiler Alert, please do not read if you do not wish to be spoiled.

Daniel Bryan was introduced as the seventh member of Team WWE in the match in progress (currently paused on my Tivo). The Miz has accepted the invation but was rejected by Team leader John Cena who said that they had already filled the spot.

Bryan's return is great for the WWE. A lot of us, myself included, though that the firing was legitimate. We still don't really know if it wasn't. But Tiegate was one of the most ridiculous firings of all time, so much that a lot of people thought it was fake. Danielson did spend a few months on the Indy circuit though. I didn't get a chance to see him this summer, but I wish I had. Any fan who got to see him was really in for a treat.

Danielson is one of the best wrestlers of his generation. WWE did the right thing by bringing him back. I'm still not completely sold that the Tiegate scandal was a complete shoot but it seems to have been the case.

We did have the moment slightly spoiled by Michael Cole's incessant whining about how his savior The Miz was not on the team. But I don't even think that Cole could rain on my parade today.

Let us rejoice WWE Universe. Daniel Bryan is back!!!!!

I now return to the main event.
