Tabloids were going crazy about Chelsea Clinton's wedding just recently, but these last few days a smaller-scale wedding happened for a popular television and movie star.

Hilary Duff and NHL player Mike Comrie tied the knot in a small private ceremony. 

The photos of the Duff/Comrie wedding are very scarce due to the fact that it was a private ceremony.

But Bleacher Report welcomes Hilary Duff to the WAG World as we take a look back at her past and the many reasons why Mike Comrie chose such a beautiful woman. 

The Wedding Photo

Mike Comrie really scored big this time. Hilary Duff was dressed in a Vera Wang dress for her big day.

The photo viewed is one of very few that all look the same. Picture quality will not be too great for this ceremony as it was private and the media was not allowed. 

Pictures had to be taken via helicopter and other higher mechanism. 

It doesn't matter what the photos look like as long as the two tied the knot and are now living happily ever after. 

Rise To Fame

Hilary Duff rose to fame and captured the hearts of many as a sweetheart middle school student on the Disney Channel hit series "Lizzie McGuire."

But before that she was the adorable little girl in the movie, "Casper Meets Wendy."

The show on Disney Channel saw her grow in popularity as her character became a teen-ager.

The show appealed to pre-teen girls, but at the same time the young boys of her generation turned in to see the blonde beauty of the Disney Channel.

Career As a Singer

Hilary Duff started a career as a singer with her debut album "Metamorphosis."

She cashed into her popularity as a teen-age sensation to sell her albums and top the charts in the United States and Canada. 

She released a second studio album with her name as the title. This was the marking of leaving behind Lizzie McGuire and becoming a grown woman.

She would release a few more albums before putting her career as a singer on hold. 

Continuing Her Television Popularity

Duff continues to make appearances on the television screen. She has had cameos in Gossip Girl, Law and Order, and Beauty and the Briefcase.

Hilary Duff does not look like she will be slowing down anytime soon with her acting career. She will continue to film independent films and co-star in television shows. 

She could be looking forward to a career much like New York Yankees WAG Joanna Garcia (Nick Swisher's wife).

In fact, along with a career in acting, she is now an author for a series of children's novels. The first one is set to kick off in October 2010. 

Relationships In The Past: Aaron Carter

Hilary Duff has an odd line of former boyfriends. Here is a list of their relationship and where those boyfriends are now.

Aaron Carter - Hilary Duff dated Aaron Carter when she was working on Lizzie McGuire. The two became an instant top pop culture couple as they were destined to be the next big couple.

They were only teen-agers, but they made a perfect couple. Carter was the top recording teen singer and she was the top teen actress of their generation. 

Carter dumped Duff for Lindsay Lohan. You can see how big of a mistake that is nowadays.

He went from being at the top of the pop culture world to the bottom, but he is attempting a comeback with an upcoming album and a good fifth-place finish on Dancing with the Stars. 

You may also want to note that Carter dumped Lohan for Duff and then cheated on Duff with her best friend. Duff openly stated that Carter had "broke her heart."

Relationships In The Past: Joel Madden

Duff was dating a member of the popular band Good Charlotte in 2004.

Speculation stated that she was going out with Joel Madden of the band. These rumors were confirmed later on as her mother let it slip in an interview. 

The Madden and Duff relationship would go on until November 2006. The two broke up. This led to a tough time for Hilary Duff, as her parents also split after a 22-year relationship. 

The pop star let her music and lyrics do the talking as she incorporated her sadness and state of gloom into her work. 

Time to Change = Mike Comrie

Just when things started to go downhill for Hilary Duff, she turned to a hockey player for comfort.

Mike Comrie seemed like the perfect man to keep her happy. The two were inseparable since they started dating in 2007. 

It looks like it took about a year or so for Duff to recover from her break-up with Madden. The two dated for three years before getting engaged in early 2010. 

Tabloids speculated an August wedding date and it happened. On Aug. 14, 2010, Hilary Duff was welcomed into the WAG World as she was now Mrs. Comrie.

Hilary Duff still serves as an excellent role model to teens and kids as she was able to pursue a fine life after her early rise to fame. 

Forget Miley Cyrus or Hannah Montana! Lizzie McGuire was the original teen star and excellent example for her fans. Thank you, Hilary Duff for setting the great example!
