Buffalo Bills 5th Round Draft Pick Alvin Bowen, out of Iowa State, was hurt the other day in practice while trying to cover reserve FB Jonathan Evans.  Evans made a cut, and Bowen tripped, twisted his knee, and went down to the field in what looked like a lot of pain.

The Buffalo Brass in COO, Russ Brandon wasted no time in filling the open whole by signing 7 year NFL Veteran Donnie Spragan.

The 6'3 245 OLB has spent the past 7 seasons in the NFL with the Green Bay Packers, Cleveland Browns, Denver Broncos, and the Miami Dolphins.  His best year came as a starter, in 2004 with the Denver Broncos where he racked up 67 tackles, a sack, and 5 pass break ups.

Spragan will not compete for a starting role, but his added veteran leadership will be helpful to these young Buffalo Bills
