Oregon Football: Tyrell Irvin JC Linebacker Shows Up On Campus

Michael WinesAnalyst IAugust 2, 2008

Some breaking news (here, here & here) that won't be officially confirmed until Monday. JC transfer student Tyrell Irvin arrived on campus and has registered for classes.

Irvin is a 6'1", 220lb., 4 star linebacker from Mt. San Antonio JC in California. Several teams have shown interest in Irvin including; Missouri, Oklahoma State and Colorado.

If this turns out to be reliable it couldn't come at a better time. Kevin Garrett's recent suspension (related to an alleged DUI) has left some questions at the LB position. Irvin at least would supply another backup if needed.
