Hard Knocks Jets: Meet Jason Taylor's Gorgeous Wife Katina

Those lucky enough to have watched the season opener of HBO's Hard Knocks Thursday night got an unexpected dose of femininity in the form of Jason Taylor's wife, Katina.

Hopefully the producers at HBO will showcase her in future episodes as a way of providing a viewers with a nice break from the yelling and grunting on the practice field.

At the ESPYs

Sadly, most of the pictures of Katina also have Jason in them. Note the strategic position of his hand here on the red carpet at the 2007 ESPY Awards.

A View From the Front

Katina and Jason nearly parted ways in 2006, when she filed for divorce twice in the same year. She withdrew both petitions and the couple has now been married for nine years.

Dancing With the Stars

Jason Taylor competed in ABC's Dancing With the Stars in 2006 and was good enough to get runner-up. His gorgeous partner Edyta Sliwinska joined him and Katina on the red carpet at a charity event in 2007.

Katina has played the role of wife and mother throughout Jason's storied NFL career. She has three children with the 2006 NFL Defensive Player of the Year.

The Taylor's are very active in charitable causes. Jason was named the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year in 2007 with young people in the Miami area.

Football Is a Family Affair

Katina is the sister of former NFL All-Pro linebacker Zach Thomas. She met Jason when he and her brother were young teammates for the Dolphins.

Life On South Beach

Jason parted ways with the Dolphins in 2008 after a feud with Bill Parcells and played a year with the Redskins before returning to the Dolphins last season.

He finished with seven sacks last season and contemplated retirement before signing with the Jets.

The couple continues to reside in Miami.
