It's official. Manny Ramirez has invaded Los Angeles.

At least, Dodgers' television partner FSN Prime Ticket has made it look that way.

In his debut it was all Manny all the time for everybody on FSN Prime Ticket, except Vin Scully.

The Dodgers' television crew showed as many shots of Manny as possible, even advertising his upcoming at-bats and at one point stating he was due up FIFTH in a given inning. All Scully did was go about his business as only the legendary Scully can.

When Ramirez notched his first base hit as a Dodger, Scully remarked, “So, the biggest question now is...when is Manny going to get a haircut?”

The way the Dodgers' broadcast was going, they will probably follow him to the barbershop if he chooses to go. I can't wait for Manny to try to be Manny in LA. Even more, I can't wait to hear what Vin Scully will have to say about it.

People call Vin Scully Dodgers baseball. That’s an injustice. Vin Scully is plainly, simply BASEBALL. He respects the game and the Dodgers too much to make Manny THE story.

God bless baseball’s greatest poet—Vin Scully.
