The 2008 season is now into its second half, and this weekend, the Hungaroring welcomes the Formula One circus.

For the qualifying session presented today, McLaren-Mercedes dominated the competition and took the first row. Lewis Hamilton and Heikki Kovalainen registered the two best times, confirming McLaren's mid-season domination.

Felipe Massa was once again the best Ferrari pilot. The Brazilian registered the third quickest time of the plateau, while the defending champion, Kimi Raikkonen, placed his car in sixth position. Raikkonen has not been on the front row in the last few races, an unexpected turn of events after a good start this season.

The most unexpected result came from Timo Glock who placed his Toyota in fifth place. For once, he was better than his teammate Jarno Trulli who ended the qualifying session in ninth place.
