There was a four team trade today. The trade involved the New Orleans Hornets, Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers, and the New Jersey Nets.
The Indiana Pacers acquired G Darren Collison and F James Posey from the Hornets, The Pacers traded F Troy Murphy to the New Jersey Nets. The New Jersey Nets traded G Courtney Lee to Houston. The Houston Rockets traded G Trevor Ariza to the New Orleans Hornets.
This trade should give Indiana some help on their team. Posey has a good jump shot and he could shoot the three. Posey will also add help down low in the paint. Darren Collison will add depth at the guard position for Indiana. It seems to me like New Jersey was the loser in this trade when they traded Courtney Lee and only got Troy Murphy in return. Houston did give up Trevor Ariza, but they got back Courtney Lee who can shoot from just about anywhere on the court. The winner of this trade was New Orleans when they got a quick guard who can also shoot the three. Trevor will be a big help at the guard position because he keeps his hands in the passing lanes. It will help out Chris Paul.
